Hundreds of shanties gutted at Balukhali Rohingya camp fire

Hundreds of shanties were gutted in a fire that broke out at Balukhali Rohingya camp in Ukhiya of Cox’s Bazar on Sunday afternoon.

No casualty was reported till filing the report.

ABPn-8 Senior Assistant Police Super Faruk Ahmed said the fire broke out around 3pm on Sunday at Balukhali Rohingya camp-11 and soon engulfed the adjacent camp-9 and 10. Firefighting units from Ukhiya and Teknaf are trying to douse the blaze, he said.

The official said the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
