The journey of “CMP Service Center” has started in Chittagong with the aim of making the police service easily accessible to the people as part of various activities of CMP in serving the city dwellers.
Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir, PPM inaugurated the “CMP Service Center” at Agrabad Badamtali intersection under Double Mooring Model Police Station at 11.00 am on Thursday, February 17.
This initiative has been taken to make the police service easily accessible to the people. General diaries (GDs) of all police stations of CMP regarding loss of mobile and important documents can be recorded here. The GD application will be sent online to the concerned police station and after the GD is recorded by the police station, it will be sent again from the police station to the online service center and a copy of that GD will be given to the applicant from the service center.
The service center will also accept fines for any case related to traffic police. The documents seized by the traffic police due to the case will be handed over to the owner of the vehicle. In order to get GD and traffic case services, the service applicant must bring a national identity card and a mobile number registered in his / her own name. Services will be provided at the service center every Sunday to Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm.
As Agrabad is an important commercial area, many people come here for various purposes. They can easily avail the mentioned services by visiting the service center of CMP. Such service centers will be set up in a few more places in Chittagong metropolis in phases.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Shyamal Kumar Nath, Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime and Operations) Md. Shamsul Alam and other senior police officials were present on the occasion.
