In the final match of the series, he played a patient knock of 47 not out to help his team post a challenging total of 158/2.
Before the T20I series, Bangladesh played a three-match ODI series against England which they lost 2-1. Shanto hit a fifty in the last ODI in Chattogram, which Bangladesh won, reports UNB.
Shanto’s impressive form is not just limited to the international level. He was also one of the best batsmen in the last season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
The left-handed batsman’s rise to stardom has been a long time coming, but his recent performances have cemented his place as one of Bangladesh’s top batsmen in the T20 format.
Bangladesh will be hoping that Shanto can continue his impressive run of form when they take on Ireland in a three-match ODI series starting on March 18 in Sylhet.
