Arup Chanda, District Chief, Chittagong ঃ
A call to understand the language of the traditionalists’ mind and accept the demands
Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Manch held a mass meeting at Laldighi ground in Chittagong city with eight point demands. Last Friday, the long march towards Dhaka was announced after the rally at the division, district and upazila levels. Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, spokesperson of Bangladesh Sanatan Jagran Manch and principal of Pundarik Dham announced this.
Principal of Tapobana Ashram Pranjalananda Puri Maharaj and others.
Speakers in the rally said that traditionalists were only neglected in the 53 years of independence. Government comes, government goes. But the fate of the Sanatani does not change. The government that is in power tries to hide the suffering of the Sanatani. Injustices and tortures with the traditionalists hide the normality. In the last 53 years, there has been no trial of Hindu torture and murder in this country.
A culture of impunity has encouraged criminals to repeatedly commit such incidents. Every time there is a post-poll or a change of power, the sword of torture descends on the Hindus. Why would that be? Who is to blame? Who is involved in this incident? If they are brought under the law, who will come out who are involved in communal incidents? Why is the government not arresting those involved in communal incidents? Speakers also said, we want to thank the interim government.
They extended 1 day holiday on Durga Puja. But that is not enough. If this government accepts the 8 points of Sanatani, then Sanatani will be forever grateful. It should be noted that the 8-point demands of Bangladesh Sanatan Ganajagran Manch are – Speedy trial tribunals should be formed for the trial of minority torture and the culprits should be given appropriate peace as soon as possible, adequate compensation should be provided to the victims and rehabilitation should be arranged. Minority Protection Act should be enacted immediately.
Ministry of Minority Affairs should be formed. They also demanded that the Hindu welfare trust be upgraded to a Hindu foundation.
