The last-minute election campaign is frozen. Today a day-long operation was conducted in 8 unions of Lohagara. During the campaign, supporters of 6 chairman candidates and supporters of 8 member candidates were fined 44,500 (forty four thousand five hundred rupees) in 14 cases for violating the code of conduct and candidates were warned to abide by the code of conduct.

The police team of SI Golam Kibria of Lohagara police station assisted in the operation led by Executive Magistrate Md. Masud Rana, who is in charge of enforcing the code of conduct from morning to afternoon on Friday, December 24. Ansar members and land office staff also assisted.

Executive Magistrate Md. Masud Rana said that the administration is in a strict position to conduct free, fair and impartial elections in Lohagara on December 26. Today a day-long operation was conducted in 8 unions of Lohagara. Supporters of 6 chairman candidates and 8 member candidates were fined Rs 44,500 (forty four thousand five hundred rupees) in 14 cases for violating the code of conduct. Police, BGB and Battalion Ansar members will be headed by 6 executive magistrates on election day to ensure free, fair and impartial elections. There will also be a mobile team of law enforcement.

It may be mentioned that 6 UP elections will be held on December 26 in Lohagara,  Chunti, Barahatiya, Kalauzan, Putibila and Padua UP elections respectively.
